We didn't know or better yet we didn't care Because everyone knew there was no time to spare When you're whistling in the graveyard
2.
It doesn't matter what you say about me because I trust my heart and I wear it on my sleeve It doesn't matter what you say about me I am innocent until I have been proven guilty No I committed no crime It must of been the other rude boy getting out of line there is no need to fuss or start a fight so put down the guns, lets have a good time It doesn't matter what they say about you because they aren't your daddy so what they going do So you can tell them you are doing just fine and if they have a complaint then they can stand in line so keep me out of your grape vine because it is just one big waste of time It doesn't matter... if your black or white what color your fly you think you're the man if you are happy or sad the clothes that you wear the style of your hair if you don't like this song if you do not belong it doesn't matter because we all belong
3.
Do you think about it even though you say you don't? and does it hurt you feelings more then most And does it strike a nerve right down to your core like you have never felt before and you can ask who ever you like about the facts of life Did it stick in your crawl? its a shame if that is the case because that is a hella of a way to have to spend the day
4.
Gappin' Out 02:04
the clock ticks faster each day now its time to turn another calendar page and it seems to quicken with age but if thats the case I should pick up the pace your life remains on a constant plane but its never in a straight line with age we replace the objects and space we once regarded as the apple of our eye Your view of the finish line may come into focus when you realize whats in sight but you better keep it in mind that your path it will narrow before it divides No joke, keep close the last thread of rope that binds the past and the person that your are in time you will fine that things reside deep within the cracks that you didn't know where there am i dreaming or am I just gapping out Step back, relaxed its time to review the facts they may look much different through another set of eyes in time you will find that things resided deep with the cracks that you didn't know where there No joke, keep close the last thread of rope that binds the past and the person that you are Embrace, unchain, the things that still remain unknown to discover exactly where you are am i dreaming or am I just gapping out

things have begun to fall in line... You can't seem to put your finger on it today but you have a sneaky feeling that there is someone to blame So you search for direction Pulled in so many ways but I tell you that your redemption comes in so many shapes When the loss, out weighs the cost then divided we will stand no more
6.
well i will admit that some people shake their heads and I can hear their laughter and all that they say "How could someone act is such a childish way" But I won't let my life be defined by age When we hit the dance floor we will take your breath away when we start dancing like Elaine and it might not be the next big dance craze but we will still be dancing like Elaine And I will admit that it probably won't catch on #whitepeoplecantdance on instgram and you can joke, you can mock, you can say what you will will your arms crossed and your stink face wishing you were someplace else
7.
So go tell you brother because you sister she still doesn't know we're all connected to one another even if we hail from different shores Belief in the race, the human race to elevate some hate if thats the case lets clean the slate and not justify our past with future mistakes It must be engrained in our DNA to look the other way Because we have a tendency to rather break before we bend To all We're already involved there is no mystery to solve so if we don't evolve the earth with still revolve but stagger to a crawl its the calm before the storm ah shit man here it comes So don't let your mouth write a check you ass is going bounce the sand in the hourglass grain by grain is falling so fast and it could just be my feet but something here really stinks we need to start to repair to clear the air in here
8.
No it doesn't have to exist unless you let it slowly creep in your mind like the previous times but I learned the hard way to just leave things behind and so I will just let it go before it starts to take a toll I will go to the place I call home slow and low will always be the tempo and I must be one of the lucky ones I am grateful as I look to the sky for the ones around me that have influenced my life and what they have meant but not to offend because I implore one and one to think for yourself
